it works for me with (redhat 6.2)::
- automake14-1.4p5-1
- libtool-1.4.2-4
- autoconf-2.52-6
it also works for me with (redhat 7.3):
- automake 1-4p5-4
- libtool-1.4.2-7
- autoconf-2.13-17
7.3 has the out-of-the-box versions, while 6.2 is updated regularly :)
