My company is currently upgrade our company'database from PICK, an old database system to mysql..
Our company database got 1 table where the record is more than 40 million records, and the other table also got about i million record each.. what i found is i only can use the simple sql query to select the data from database and can't use the query like left join,equi-join and even a global variable also can make our server(2G RAM, 40G hardisk, Pentium 4) take a long time to respond..maybe this is a limitation of mysql i think..can't store such huge data.. Just want to hear the opinion from all of u..
