I have a website which gets data from MySQL. The website is in several languages. I'm now working on Russian, and we have the translations, but I can't seem to get it into MySQL.
I have a few questions which I hope someone can help with: 1) I see from research I must run another instance of MySQL to be able to work in russian. Is this correct? 2) What is the best character set to use? Will UTF-8 work? 3) How to best enter russian text strings using an english locale? Any tips, references would be much appreciated.
