Hello,

I upgraded MySQL as a part of the latest RedHat up2date and now I get an error
when I try to connect to the database.

Any help appreciated.

[root@powell /]# cat /etc/my.cnf
[mysqld]

socket=/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock

[mysql.server]

[safe_mysqld]
err-log=/var/log/mysqld.log
pid-file=/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.pid
