Dear Sir or Madame,

I have had _extreme_ problems with your web site. My first attempt was
with the browser lynx, an elegant, text browser. It died on my,
claiming to have problems uncompressing some tempory file.

I then tried netscape. Your web page was OK, but the download
page was all mixed up. Probably you use Microsoft fonts, and the
UNIX fonts don't match.

Admittedly, I do have very few fonts on my Linux machine, so I next
tried to use netscape from the University computer centre. Same effect.

I really wanted the source code for version 4.1, as this version is the
first version to support nested queries. I'd take instability of an
alfa release without complaint, however, it was not to be. I could
simply not discover how to obtain 4.1 from the garbles web pages.

I tried using mirrors; these were a little better, but I still cannot
make access to any 4.1 sources.

BTW, I always use sources as I have been maintaining my on Linux
distribution. In particular, I don't have any Red Hat rpm binaries, so
rpm's are quite useless to me.

I have had to make do with an older 3.23 version instead. However, if
you are interested in an alpha tester with profession experience of
oracle, I would be very willing to contribute.

Yours faithfully,
Mike Dowling

(PS
I don't ever use netscape for email; I wonder if it will ask me for my
return email address. If not, then, in the unlikely event that you
receive this, the above address is correct.)
