Greetings, I am new to this list so I don't know if this topic has been pounced around or not. DOES MYSQL WORK ON REDHAT? I got Redhat 7.3 and MySQL 3.23.55 I tried binary installations. I tried installing from source too. When I finally run the /usr/local/mysql/bin/safe_mysqld --user=mysql & I get: Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /usr/local/mysql/var 030311 17:27:18 mysqld ended
