I have installed 4.0.9 from source.
After compiling it I want to start it with
/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysqld_safe --user=mysql &
and the message mysqld ended appears.
When I move the startup script to the appropriate directory and reboot I get the following error
Can't execute @bindir@/mysqld_safe from [EMAIL PROTECTED]@
Any ideas?
