I am planning to run an instance of MySQL 3.23.55 and 4.0.11-max on the same machine. The question is: what do I do with DBD::mysql ? Can I leave it intact? The install note says I have to recompile modules that link against libmysqlclient... but do I really have to do that? Or can I reinstall DBD and use it for both 3.x and 4.0.x, too? Should I create two installations of DBD? The later one I would like to avoid...
