I gave the follow commands to make the binary form in cygwin: autoconf configure.in ./configure and the messages were: loading cache ... bla bla bla checking build system type... i686-pc-cygwin configure: 724: Syntax error: word unexpected (expecting ")") Maybe the cause is the linefeeds conversion from UNIX to DOS.
