If there's not a way to do this I would suggest it be added to the next version of MySQL, but has anyone ever heard of an "EXCEPT FOR" clause that can be used in MySQL's SELECT statements? For instance... "SELECT * FROM products EXCEPT FOR colors WHERE sizes LIKE '%small%'"
