Hi Sigh, I just double and tripple read the threat once more.
>>Installing all prepared tables >>./bin/mysqld: Can't change dir to '/usr/local/mysql/./data/' (Errcode: >>13) This tells me that your user account you are currently logged in with (username) does not have rights to write to /usr/local/mysql/data. Therefore you will not have the folder /usr/local/mysql/data/mysql which would contain the privilege database. Then your server could startup fine ;-) Soooo, that should be really it. Loooong story short end Linux account rights problem ;-) Best regards Nils Valentin Tokyo/Japan 2003年 6月 24日 火曜日 02:43、Pushpinder Singh Garcha さんは書きました: > Installing all prepared tables > ./bin/mysqld: Can't change dir to '/usr/local/mysql/./data/' (Errcode: > 13) -- --- Valentin Nils Internet Technology E-Mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] URL: http://www.knowd.co.jp Personal URL: http://www.knowd.co.jp/staff/nils -- MySQL General Mailing List For list archives: http://lists.mysql.com/mysql To unsubscribe: http://lists.mysql.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]
