Hi,

You could either pass it as an attribute to the command line mysqld or
specify it in your my.cnf :
http://www.mysql.com/doc/en/Command-line_options.html

Or logical link the /usr/local/mysql/data to some other filesystem (ln -s)

Cheers,

Andrew

Subject: Relocating the datadir

Hi, I'd like to know if there's a way to change where the datadir is
located.
I've installed mysql in a Sun Solaris, in the /usr/local/mysql directory,
but I want the databases to be located in another filesystem. Is there a way
to relocate them?

Thanks in advance,

--Claudio
