Hi, The following message appeared when I installed mysql server on Linux,,,
[2] 10804 [1] Exit 1 ./bin/mysqld -user-mysql [EMAIL PROTECTED] mysql]$ Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /var/lib/mysql 030701 19:59:18 mysqld ended And also sometime the message can't find mysql.sock in /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock despite that the installation directory and the daemon is in /usr/local/mysql/bin I performed standard installation and also this message appeared if I install the MySql server as part of Redhat installed.
