I'm trying to upgrade the glibc on some machines that do not yet have glibc2
in order to support > 1000 threads. It seems that some of the instructions
concerning setting a pthread maximum for older glibc's are no longer pertinent.
I wonder if the glibc 2.3.2 is known to be compatible with MySQL 4 and also if
it is known to support > 1000 threads?
I'm using glibc-2.3.2 and MySQL-4.0.13 under Gentoo Linux ( at home, not on a production server ), and it seems to work fine.
