Question: how is this done? I am getting tired of entering my existing unix login information (same login/pwd) every time I want to login to mysql.
I would like to propagate my existing unix credentials (/etc/pwd) or possibly use pam/sasl/etc. Note...<of course> this isn't the same as mysql/pam interface. I don't want to authenticate THRU mysql, rather I want to authenticate TO mysql... I've checked mysql parms, google'd, etc. and can't find any pointers on this. thanks in advance... -- MySQL General Mailing List For list archives: http://lists.mysql.com/mysql To unsubscribe: http://lists.mysql.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]
