Dear All I have recently reformatted my hard disk and done a clean install of 4.0.15 on Win 2k Pro SP4.
I used C:\> C:\mysql\bin\ mysqld --install This created a mySQL service and it works ok. I happened look at a log in the data folder and noticed 031007 9:37:53 InnoDB: Started MySql: ready for connections.
