-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 This has got to be a common question, but I'd really appreciate a little help.
I recently reinstalled my Linux (SuSE 8.2). I *KNOW* I don't have a cron run that deletes this. When I try to start mysql, I get the message "Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)" Using locate, I see that, indeed, it is not there. I'm using MySQL 4.1.0 I've tried running mysqld_safe. It tries to start the mysqld, then I immediately get the message that mysqld ended. It doesn't start. How do I get it going again? - ---Michael -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2-rc1-SuSE (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/rcVCjeziQOokQnARApUaAJ9TIyvRDMF5k3Lzzi5c9dbJiD6iFgCeOI4y v5A2jiZ4Kr+N4uvQRCfYq7M= =9KDc -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- MySQL General Mailing List For list archives: http://lists.mysql.com/mysql To unsubscribe: http://lists.mysql.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]
