No, there is no time-based restriction.Today, Mysql 4.0.16 for WinXP stop working. I try to restart my PC and run mysqld-nt, also try Start Service from WinMysqlAdmin, but nothing happen.
I download Mysql for Windows but not purchase the Commercial Licence yet. Is
there a time based restriction here?
I haven't used MySQL under Windows before, but you might want to try running it from a DOS box and seeing if there are any errors.
Also check the error log(s). Not having used the Windows version, I can't tell you where they are either, but maybe in the directory you installed MySQL into?
