Upon further review, my question involving the unexpected comparison operator behavior IS discussed in the documentation, specifically section A.5.7 "Problems with
Floating-Point Comparison". My bad -- thought I'd
checked everywhere.
Doesnt' look like there's a great solution, they recommend
deciding what an acceptable "tolerance" is, and basing the
comparison on that. Anyone know a better solution?
