< In install mysql ver 2.23.49 from the SCO site, and untarred
it under the /usr/local/src/mysql-3.23.49 dir.
Then I ran configure as : ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/mysql
Result: No error
Then I ran make as: make
Result: No error
Then I ran make install as: make install
Result: No error
Then I tried my_install_db as : scripts/mysql_install_db
which hangs after trying to install the prepared tables:
Preparing db table
Preparing host table
Preparing user table
Preparing func table
Preparing tables_priv table
Preparing columns_priv table
Installing all prepared tables
( And then the script hangs for ever)
