Am trying to upgrade MySQL with rpms. rpm -Uvh MySQL-shared-compat-4.0.17-0i386.rpm worked fine. When I try to upgrade the client or server I get warnings that the files conflict with the older versions that are currently installed. I've tried to erase the older versions with rpm -e to no avail. What should I be doing to get a clean installation?
