I finally found the correct place to start and did this:

/usr/sbin/mysqld start

but got back this message:

Starting MySQL: [FAILED]
You have new mail in /var/spool/mail/root
[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# /usr/sbin/mysqld start
040317 21:30:50 Can't start server: Bind on TCP/IP port: Address already in use
040317 21:30:50 Do you already have another mysqld server running on port: 3306 ?
040317 21:30:50 Aborting

040317 21:30:50 /usr/sbin/mysqld: Shutdown Complete

Now what do I do?

Thanks,
-Ryan
