Dear users.
I havent found any documentation for the interoperability/compatibility of MySQL with other open source tools as a spatial database backend.
Is is because, MySQL provides limited functions for spatial analysis and fuctions to test spatial relationship between spatial object ?
However, I am ware that systems such as GRASS , Geotools and Mapserver are developing interfaces to use MySQL as a data ssource !!
