I'm running 4.1.1 on RH 9. I want to upgrade this to 4.1.2. I'm using the rpm from the MySQL site.
If I just try to install it with rpm -i then I get a bunch of errors about conflicting files from the 4.1.1-1 install. If I try to uninstall first with rpm -e the version 4.1.1 then it tells me that it is not installed. I seem to always have this problem with rpm packages. What is the best way to get this installed?
