Yes. The ByteFX provider has been aquired by MySql and will be released shortly as the supported provider. It will not have the namespace System.Data.MySql since System.* is reserved for bits of the framework shipped as native parts of the framework. The namespace will by MySql.Data.MySqlClient

So far the one I have had the best luck with is
   ByteFX.Data.MySqlClient
I use it in both VB.Net and C# against MySql 4.1.2 on
Windows and Linux.
