Here is a message that was sent to me and think it belonged to the list. Thanks Douglas
Hi, I still can't get mysqld to start with the mysql.server script or when running safe_mysqld direct. It appears safe_mysqld is looking for mysqld in ./libexec/mysqld --- where is it getting 'libexec'?? there IS no libexec directory! when I run safe_mysqld direct, I get this: % cd /usr/local/mysql % ./bin/safe_mysqld Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /usr/local/mysql/data mysqld daemon ended I tried changing "libexec" to "bin" in the script itself, but it screwed things up much, much worse. I'm using 3.22.14b on linux 2.0.36, redhat 5.2, installed from the gzipped binary... thanks todd ----------------------------------------------------------- Send a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe mysql [EMAIL PROTECTED] in the body of the message to unsubscribe from this list.
