>Description:
Tools such as mysql, mysqladmin, etc. do not appear to connect to the
database. The old tools from 3.21.29-gamma do work, but I am hesitant
to use those; I don't know what kind of damage may be done.
Also, when I configured it with gcc-2.8.1 and --with-tcp-port=3107,
configure would exit after converting longlong's to float test. Funny
thing is that this didn't happen with just a straight configure.
Weird. The database does work. It will accept queries via the twz1
jdbc driver, just can't connect with mysql or mysqladmin (the tools
that I use the most often )
>How-To-Repeat:
Compiled out of the box under AIX-4.2.1.0 gcc-2.8.1 and egcs-1.1.1.
>Fix:
Use the old tools from 3.21.29-gamma (?)
