This sounds to me like a duplicate of Bug 660833, so I'm marking it as
such. Feel free to change it if you disagree... I'm just trying to keep
this issue organized since some helpful comments are popping up in
different places. Thanks for the tip about not using XvMC, Marc, I'll
be sure to try that when I get home.

When I choose 'watch tv' it looks like it is going to lock and show me a
channel, but before it does I get logged out and have to log back in.
I've tried a new install of Ubuntu 10.10, and still the problem persists on
mythtv.
