To recap my understanding here: To fix the bug in Maverick we need: 1. The patch from comment #8 in the kernel to enable protocol changes for rc5sz (I made some test packages for -generic and put those to http://people.canonical.com/~smb/lp663651/) 2. The changes from comment #2 (but with rc5-sz changed into rc5sz)
