What a pity. In my opinion a "config" should be a what it is, and no "script".
On the one hand it is a good thing that the mythexport-config can handle anything you want (cause of the fact that it is a perl module). But on the outher hand I would say end users should only have to decide which features to use or not, and how. For the normal end user it will be to difficult and error-prone to edit such a config. I recommend to move the perl-module into the feature-part of the code and provide "clean" config-file. Another Idea would be to merge mythtranscode and mythexport and provide an easy configuration over the ui of mythtv.
