Public bug reported: On my frontend-backend combo system mythfrontend starts before the real network connection is available.
This results in the remote control port not being available unless mythfrontend is manually restarted (required VNC or equivalent). After a reboot the frontend should be available via a smartphone type remote control. There are some hackey workarounds available: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1090744&page=2 I was doing a fresh install using: mythbuntu-12.04.3-desktop-amd64.iso ** Affects: mythbuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: control port remote -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Mythbuntu Bug Team, which is subscribed to Mythbuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1265584 Title: remote control port not available when mythfornend starts before network is available Status in Mythbuntu, Ubuntu derivative focused upon MythTV: New Bug description: On my frontend-backend combo system mythfrontend starts before the real network connection is available.
