We really do appreciate you opening this ticket to help improve
Mythbuntu, but it needs to be closed for a number of reasons. The
biggest one is that we have turned our efforts to a newer version. Could
you please verify if this issue still exists in the latest version?
Please do not let the closing of this ticket dissuade you from opening a
new ticket if this (or any other) problem occurs with the newer
versions.

jackd output does not resample
Status in Mythbuntu, Ubuntu derivative focused upon MythTV:

Bug description:
Using both 0.23 and 0.24 versions, I can no longer listen to music
played through jackd. Jackd is using 96kHz samplerate to talk to my
firewire soundcard, and this worked fine with karmic (version 0.21 or
0.22). Mythmusic always displayed 96kHz in the play module, regardless
of the source format.
But since upgrading to lucid, I only get chipmunks out of my speakers
(sound is played twice as fast as it should be). Also, mythmusic now
reports the actual source samplerate (44100 or 48000) instead of the
jackd rate, so I suspect mythmusic no longer does samplerate
conversion.
Also, mythbackend 0.24 version from today no longer wishes to start. It does
not log any failure besides a snarky comment about me not having configured any
capture devices (which is correct - I don't have any) even though last week's
version (and all versions I've had over the past two years, for that matter)
seemed to accept my setup just fine.
