I decided to kill the process out of paranoia and a crash report was generated on the next login. So here we are. The moral of the story? Don't ask a user if they want to configure remote access. Just assume they don't wan't it in the first place, and don't even attempt to install it unless it was specifically requested by the end user. In my case and to my knowledge I made no such request, and if this was part of the defalut kde-full meta-package, then it should be removed unless you want to see more crash reports like this one.
