I thought I had got all the modes right, but I will also check on this. I am not clear on what each of these modes are actually ment to do. Is there some documentation on this?
This looks like a REALLY nice patch! Thanks.
The modes are basically:
- 16:9, 4:3 exactly as expected. Basically forces the video to use this aspect
- 4:3 stretch. Given a 4:3 stream and that you have a 16:9 output device it stretches the video to fit the width, chopping a little off the top
- 16:9 stretch. Given a 16:9 stream and that you have a 4:3 output device it stretches the height, chopping a little off the width
(Perhaps this is worth adding into the Myth docs..?)
Good luck. Would love to see this getting properly fixed and included.
