Thinking it might be audio related I've tried to change from OSS to ALSA but it happens with both output systems.
Any more info I should supply?
Changing the live-tv recording streamtype from MPEG-2 PS to MPEG-2 TS stops the frontend from crashing when the live-tv buffer fills up.
