Please understand that Hauppauge doesn't make the bulk of the chips actually 
on their cards. For the most part, those come from Philips and Conexant, both 
of whom have fairly tight NDAs for their latest and greatest stuff.

They're historically a Windows company. They're starting to see the light and 
help out with the Linux side of things, but their engineers know Windows, not 
Linux. They definitely are helping now though.
