Actually, I may try a different approach. Instead of adding & to
mythtv, I may make a C deamon program to change channels using lirc. This way I don't have to load up a shell or get the overhead
of running irsend multiple times.
I'm working on what I hope will be a very robust version of this, written in Perl. It will:
- deal with multiple IR devices in one script
- reproduce what irsend does, to avoid the overhead of a system call, and also the problem it has with sending to multiple devices at the exact same moment
- optionally zero-pad channels like "99" to "099"
I hope to finish an alpha version of it sometime this weekend. -- Dan Wilga [EMAIL PROTECTED] Web Administrator http://www.mtholyoke.edu Mount Holyoke College Tel: 413-538-3027 South Hadley, MA 01075 "Who left the cake out in the rain?"
