Normally I would say use a real email client, but I decided to look into this and see why. What I found was on the commits list the messages are sent as multipart-mixed, but the first part doesn't have a Content-type (or any header information for that matter).

It just appears that some email clients are more forgiving than others and assume if there are no headers in a part it must be plain text. Any chance you are using the Outlook Express in IE 5.5?


I have the same problem, using the latest build of Thunderbird. I can view source by hitting CTRL-U, so it's not a HUGE problem, but it is annoying. Is Thunderbird not considered a REAL email client? :)
