I have just tested this with current cvs and get the following problems: Live TV doesn't work at all with or without xvmc: 2005-04-20 23:52:34.860 Connecting to backend server: 127.0.0.1:6543 (try 1 of 5) 2005-04-20 23:52:34.868 Using protocol version 15 2005-04-20 23:52:34.901 Using protocol version 15 2005-04-20 23:52:38.919 Opening audio device '/dev/dsp'. 2005-04-20 23:52:38.919 Opening OSS audio device '/dev/dsp'. 2005-04-20 23:52:40.616 The realtime priority setting is not enabled. 2005-04-20 23:52:40.636 Changing from None to WatchingLiveTV 2005-04-20 23:52:40.899 Video timing method: SGI OpenGL 2005-04-20 23:52:42.588 prebuffering pause 2005-04-20 23:52:44.542 Prebuffer wait timed out 10 times, discarding buffers 2005-04-20 23:52:46.519 Prebuffer wait timed out 10 times, discarding buffers 2005-04-20 23:52:48.499 Prebuffer wait timed out 10 times, discarding buffers [...] 2005-04-20 23:53:00.356 NVP::AddAudioData: Error, audio buffer overflow, audio data lost! 2005-04-20 23:53:00.359 NVP::AddAudioData: Error, audio buffer overflow, audio data lost! Watching recorded video does work, but if I try and do anything interactive (fast forward, change volume etc) the OSD comes up briefly, then mythfrontend dies with a SIGSEGV. This is quite repeatable. The log is not very interesting in this case. It shows a few "Prebuffer timeout" messages then dies. This is all with SD DVB-T. I'll back out the patch and see if any of this is due to something else. Ian
