I think you need to change the starting channel in mythtv-setup - go to the card section, select the cards adn there should be an entry saying "Start up channel" - select a valid startup channel that exists in the database that links to the DVB card - such as for my setup, I've got a PVR350 tuner, and a DVB tuner, the former has channels 1 to 30 bound to that, and the DVB tuner has channels 1001 to 1100 (whatever) bound to that, so I set the PVR tuner's startup channel to 1, and the DVB tuner startup channel to 1001.

Hope this helps!

Recently I went through and re-setup my DVB channel configuration.

Now, when I exit from mythtv-setup, it says:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Card 1 (type DVBInput) is set to start on channel 0, which does not exist.
Card 2 (type DVBInput) is set to start on channel 0, which does not exist.
Do you want to fix these problems?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I can't figure out *where* to "fix these problems". In the input configuration screen, I have the starting channel set to "5_1". I don't see anywhere that it is set to "0".

I see this in my DB:

+-------------+--------+----------+-----------+----------+-----------+
| cardinputid | cardid | sourceid | inputname | tunechan | startchan |
+-------------+--------+----------+-----------+----------+-----------+
|           1 |      1 |        1 | DVBInput  |          | 19_1      |
|           2 |      2 |        1 | DVBInput  |          | 19_1      |
|           3 |      3 |        1 | DVBInput  |          | 19_1      |
|           8 |      7 |        2 | Tuner 0   |          | 34        |
|           7 |      8 |        2 | Tuner 0   |          | 50        |
+-------------+--------+----------+-----------+----------+-----------+

Is it complaining about tunechan being NULL? If so, where in the setup do you change that value?

My Myth system is working fine. It is recording shows using all of my tuners perfectly. I just don't understand that message when exiting mythtv-setup.

Thanks,

John
