Depends on the definition of valid PMT. 1. Purely data channels have a valid PMT, but no audio or video streams. 2. Radio channels (in UK) have audio + data streams. 3. Normal channels have audio + video. For livetv currently only 3 is valid. UK channels when they go "off air" they transition from type 3 to type 1. When they go "on air" they transition back to type 3. This allows the broadcasters to share frequencies between channels. Stuart
