Daniel, On startup, the frontend says "Total Desktop Dim: 1024x768 with 1 Screen[s]" so myth knows the screen resolutions and it's not using Xinerama. I'm also not using XRandR.
I have no reason to think the DVB streams are reporting the wrong aspect as they always look fine in Myth or MPlayer or any other media player. The following are physical visible window sizes without any aspect override, with the same TV channel in both the main video window and the PiP window:- Main Window:- 405mm x 230mm PiP Window:- 165mm x 060mm Now, based on the 26% desired_pipsize, I would have expected the PiP window to be 105mm x 60mm. Any other thoughts ? Not here. Does MythTV know the aspect ratio of your screen? * If you are using Xinerama, you might need to configure this * The PiP doesn't apply an aspect override. So if you need that for your regular streams the PiP won't look right. * If you use XRandR you need to set the aspect ratio's correctly. Does MythTV know the aspect ratio of the DVB stream? * Some streams do not report the correct aspect ratio. -- Daniel
