Agreed. I don't update my main myth boxes but this particular
machine doubles
as a computer in the office - it is set to grab security/bug
related updates
only. I'm not sure why the updated drivers qualified as such, nor
even why
they were considered stable by the repository owner on the same day

A little OT for the devel list, but I did want to warn people with
AMD Athlon X2's on a nForce4 chipset (I think Isaac has one). I just
bumped my kernel from 2.6.13 to 2.6.14 and everything went bad.
Video speed was all over the place, with audio going crazy trying to
match it. Turns out the clock would start running 2-3 times normal
speed when both procs were under load. I resolved it by adding
"notsc clock=pmtmr" to my kernel boot line in grub. notsc alone
should have worked, but my kernel disallowed that option.
