Yes, I would use it if it was available. For instance, it would make it
easy to build SVN on a (fast) computer different that the one running it
(slow). The uninstall aspect is important too.
Also, this would be very useful for installing SVN on multiple FE/BE. I
am not sure how one does that currently without recompiling on each machine.
