Hello I have been experiencing something similar, and is driving my crazy. I tried changing the ivtv driver, but nothing. Then I tried changing the kernel and nothing again. So, after trying checking with a friend machine, which have a very similar configuration, I think it should be a hardware related problem. It might be that the video card, or the tv-card ar getting too hot. I will not be at home for a couple of weeks so I can't try anything new, but maybe you can consider this option, and check by yourself.

I'm noticing a weird freezing happening on my system. It seems to happen when I watch live TV. For some reason, out of the blue, the system will freeze up and the TV will actually appear as though it's a broken record, replaying a few frames over and over. There's no way to do anything else on the system - I can't change to a terminal window, nor can I telnet/ssh into the system to kill the process. Basically, a hard reboot is required. Once the system comes back up, there's nothing in the syslog or myth log to indicate there was a problem at the time it freezes up. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Quickly, my setup is as follows: - ivtv 0.1.9. - AMD XP 3200+, 1 GB RAM, 1 x 120 GB IDE drive, 2 x 120 GB S-ATA drives striped together (this is where my recording data goes) - Myth 0.16 Any thoughts? Thanks in advance, --db _______________________________________________ mythtv-users mailing list mythtv-users@mythtv.org http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users _______________________________________________ mythtv-users mailing list mythtv-users@mythtv.org http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
