This may still not work if you have an x86_64 architecture platform. I found after more googliing that the duplicate, i386 and x86_64, rpm's are causing some of the dependency issues.
With x86_64 you need to remove all the i386 rpms. You loose access to open office and a few other things, but most of myth will work, though I still do not have my HD-3000 working.
You can use the RPM command found in Comment number 2:

I used the second RPM command shown in Axel's comment and it cleaned many things up. -Chuck-
