Okay, I installed mpeg2dec-devel and finally vlc compiled fine (thanks a million James!). Now, when I go to MythWeb, I set up a stream, I get this error message from the log: Starting Stream of 1249_20050118160000_20050118163000.nuv /video/mythstreamtv/mythstreamtv.sh: line 37: vlc: command not found Hmm...odd. So I try a copy/paste of the mythstreamtv command that is shown on the mythweb page into console. I get the following: [EMAIL PROTECTED] mythstreamtv]# /video/mythstreamtv/mythstreamtv.sh 'WMV2' 'mp3' '256' '64' '.5' '30' '1249_20050118160000_20050118163000.nuv' > /video/mythstreamtv/log.txt VLC media player 0.8.1 Janus [00000201] dummy interface: Using the dummy interface module... "which" finds it too. I do not get a command prompt, so I open up WMP and connect. It says the server is not responding. I ^C out, and get: signal 2 received, terminating vlc - do it again in case it gets stuck [00000219] main http daemon: httpd doesn't reference any host, deleting Any clues on this?
