... to reduce the size of the recorded shows to fit more on the hard drive. Also to remove offending content (e.g. commercial advertisement interruptions) at the same time.
built into myth. seems like we should get our story straight before kicking up a fuss :-)
not objecting to these features or suggesting that they be removed - use them all the time. just pointing out that we should not kick up a big fuss without considering the consequences.
Just saying that the *primary* use of these features is not even related to p2p file trading. They all have legitimate uses just like the betamax case.... just because something *can* be used for illegal activities doesn't mean that it should be outlawed.
