Maybe the possibility to disable (or enable) the function in the config
file would be nice before the .17 release.
Better yet (dunno why I didn't think of this earlier) -- I'll just make sure the function exists before it gets called. (which I've done)
Hiro -- if you're reading this, do you know of a more universal method of your addition? iconv or something?
