Everything I've read suggests installing an older model Nova-T (1.02
Philips/Grundig) should be as simple as plugging it in with the latest 2.6
kernels. I'm having no such luck.

The card is recognised by the kernel with the aid of a few modules added to
modprobe.preload.

saa7146: found saa7146 @ mem ffffff000009f000 (revision 1, irq 10)
(0x13c2,0x1005).
DVB: registering new adapter (TT-Budget/WinTV-NOVA-T PCI).
TT-Budget/WinTV-NOVA-T PCI adapter 0 has MAC addr = 00:d0:5c:21:31:af
saa7146: register extension 'budget_ci dvb'.
Linux video capture interface: v1.00
DVB: registering frontend 0:0 (Grundig 29504-401)...

However I have the following problem:

# ./scan dvb-t/uk-Waltham
scanning dvb-t/uk-Waltham
using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'
main:1882: FATAL: failed to open '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0': 2 No such file
or directory

I've used the linuxtv-dvb MAKEDEV-DVB script to
create /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0 as UDEV was not creating them
automatically (the udev dvb scripts exist) but it has made no difference.

I'm using Mandrake 10.1 X86_64 with the 2.6.8.1-19/2.6.8.1-24 kernels.

I'd appreciate any help.
